VU Stars at Melbourne Career Expo

Finding the right educational path is not always easy - so to help students Victoria University is sponsoring the 2007 Melbourne Careers Expo on from 27 to 29 July 2007.

VU's Steve Pereira said: "Our stand at the Expo will be showcasing our 700 plus courses and there will be people on hand to chat about anything and everything you'd like to know, whether you're local, international or interested in TAFE or Higher Education."

"If you want to live away from home, you can talk to the staff from our student residences."

VU is running seminars on: 'Emergency 00 - Become a Paramedic'; 'Hospitality, Tourism and Marketing'; 'So You Want to be a Teacher?'; 'Careers in Sport and Recreation' and 'Working in International Community Development'.

Steve said: "To help our local students, we have sent complimentary tickets to local secondary schools, so if you are interested - just ask your careers advisor."

The Expo is a one-stop-shop of education and employment information. There will be over 100 exhibitors, free seminars, stage activities, success panels, prize giveaways; and celebrity interviews.

The annual Melbourne Career Expo has been operating for over six years in partnership with Victoria University and attracts in excess of 15,000 visitors eager to investigate the education and career opportunities available to them.
